| Location: | Griffith Park: the Meadow just above the Greek Theater on the left side of Vermont heading north. Just park in the large lot there and you'll see us in the field. This Sunday, we will be meeting in the smaller field to the left of the bathrooms at the north end of the lot.. |

A Summer Solstice Ceremony with the Gay Men's Medicine Circle
The Earth, in her movement around the Sun, is approaching a unique moment, when the north pole reaches the point where it is most directly pointing at the sun. Join the Gay Men's Medicine Circle in celebrating the beginning of Summer; we will invoke the Directions, prepare ourselves for the fruitful and busy season of heat. We will also continue the construction of our Shamanic Labyrinth at this site.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring something red from your dwelling, we will use this in the ceremony. A small snack to share is also good to bring. A blanket, pad or chair to sit on is helpful. If you have a drum or rattle, bring that along as well!
Our Hosts: The Gay Men's Medicine Circle serves the community by collecting and sharing shamanic teachings gleaned from all over the world. The most ancient human spiritual aspirations revolve around a connection to the immensity of the Universe and beauty of Mother Earth and her myriads of children. There is no sacred text, other than Nature around us, and no final arbiter of truth, each human must discover their personal path. The GMMC offers workshops and trainings to tap into this long tradition. Many of the current Circle are active in CMG as well, and there has been a close collaboration between the two organizations for many years.
