CMG LA presents . . .
Backpacking Without a Backpack [withCMEN]
- 1.We will be backpacking (without a backpack) for 5 days in the High Sierra mountains near Bishop, CA--August 7 early morning and coming out on the afternoon of August 11
- 2.We will have an outfitter carry all of our items to/from our backcountry campsite.
- 3.We will enjoy 5 days in the backcountry wilderness where we can do day hikes, enjoy the beautiful scenery, etc, etc
- 4.Due to the limited backcountry permits, we MUST know if you are interested by June 27 at the latest. E-mail charlieb@cmen.info AND wehojohn@aol.com and note on the subject line "CMEN backpacking without the backpack"
- 5.The cost will be approximately $400 (we will collect $400 when booking and when the trip is finished, we will figure the actual expenses of the outfitter and refund the difference. It will definitely not be more than $400)
- 6.You must be in reasonably good shape as we will be hiking 10 miles in on August 7 over 12000 foot Mono Pass--one of the most beautiful areas in the Sierra and is near Yosemite. (And of course hiking out on August 11)

- 8.By using the outfitter, you can bring items you could normally never bring on a backpack, so we plan to have a great time in the wilderness. Join us.
All CMG events are drug free. This event is also alcohol free.
