One City One Pride (West Hollywood) Through June 30 West Hollywood's One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival celebrates pride with the festival theme "I Remember" featuring mostly free events. Some highlights: June 2: sneak peeks of new documentaries on the West Hollywood Aquatics Team and Connie Norman, AIDS activist. June 13: preview of Considering Matthew Shepard. June 22-23 Heroic Lives, an original musical based on the life stories of, and performed by, LGBTQ seniors. June 24: Mariachi Arcoiris, the world's only LGBTQ mariachi. Visit www.weho.org/pride for full event listings. 5/1/18 Jonathan's Circle (Fresno) Jonathan's Circle in Fresno: men connecting sex and spirit. Jonathan's Circle is a national organization for men of any sexual orientation who want to experience, explore, and reflect on the connection of spiritual life (whatever form it takes, not necessarily "religious") and sexual practice. It is based on small groups of six to twelve men. A circle is now forming in Fresno. For information about the national organization, visit jonathanscircle.org. Developing Intimate Relationships (Los Angeles) A one-day workshop in Sierra Madre (lunch included). Intimacy is both the ability and the choice to be close, loving, and vulnerable. You have to know yourself in order to share your self with another. It’s possible to be in an intimate relationship without taking over the other person or losing yourself to them. You'll have opportunities to talk one-on-one with a half-dozen men during the course of the workshop. The workshop will include guided visualizations, physical movement (according to your ability), and group discussions.
