Holiday Game Night (please bring Games!), Potluck and Gift Exchange (with CMEN and Gamenight.org)
NOTE: THIS PARTY IS PRESENTED BY CMG, CMEN, GAMENIGHT.ORG, AND MENSWALK. It is a benefit for MENSWALK. MENSWALK IS AN AIDS WALK TEAM COMPRISED OF SEVERAL GROUPS IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA. SEE * BELOW
Party details:
1. Please bring a delicious pot-luck dish. (Guidelines Below) Thanks in advance
2. Please if possible bring your favorite board game or cards.
3. Please bring a "white elephant" wrapped gift for the gift exchange. Gift can be valuable, funny, sexy, or ... Please bring a gift that someone would actually want to receive-suggested value $15-$30
4. Party begins at 4pm--please arrive no later than 7pm if possible
5. Gift exchange will begin at 7ish
6. Co-hosts are needed (co-hosts get in to the party free!). Mention in your RSVP that you want to co-host.
7. We look forward to seeing you at the MensWalk Holiday party!
The party will provide supplies, including bottled water, utensils, paper plates, etc. If you have a favorite beverage, bring it with you. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED IN PLUMMER PARK FACILITIES.
Suggested Potluck Guidelines:
IF YOUR LAST NAME STARTS WITH
A through F, bring a festive side dish
G through M, bring dessert
N through S, bring a main dish (ready to eat, please we have no kitchen)
T through Z, bring a salad or appetizers or relish tray.
We don’t have a lot of serving utensils, so if you can supply, that will be greatly appreciated. WE HAVE NO KITCHEN! So if you buy a whole chicken (for example), please cut it up before you get to the party. Thanks!
* IMPORTANT: UNLIKE MOST MENSWALK EVENTS, THIS EVENT WILL BE RAISING MONEY FOR MENSWALK ITSELF, NOT THE AIDS WALK. MENSWALK takes NO percentage of the money raised for AIDS Walk at events so designated. But MENSWALK has expenses, e.g, website payment, t-shirt purchase, etc. that have to be paid, and to do that we occasionally throw an event for the group. When we do that, we consider it important to let attendees know that this is one of those rare times when the beneficiary is MENSWALK itself. These donations make it possible for MENSWALK to continue to be active in its main purpose, which is raising money for AIDS Walk Los Angeles. In 2017, MENSWALK raised over $8,000 for the AIDS Walk by staging events and fielding a team of walkers. For more details, please visit www.menswalk.org.
