Description:

It's a Potluck! It's a Party! It's (optionally) a Silly Gift Exchange! Wear your festive holiday duds.

WHAT TO BRING - FOOD AND DRINK-WISE:

Bring something to share food-wise -- whatever sounds good for the table to you! Since we don't do the assigning of food types, when in doubt, we can never have too many entrees and salads, so consider favoring that over more cake and candy...there's bound to be plenty already. CMG will provide water and lemonade, but if you'd like anything else in particular, bring it!

Cooler-type drinks, wine and beer are permitted at this party on a BYOB basis. You are most welcome to bring something to share along those lines if you like, though CMG itself cannot supply the alcohol.

Disclaimer: If you are not comfortable in an environment where alcohol will be consumed, we encourage you to respect your own feelings and pass on this event...there will be many others throughout the year without alcohol! :-)

CMG members should be 100% responsible for their own safety in departing an event where alcohol is available. Please have a designated driver or plan to stop drinking LONG before you will be driving. As it would increase our potential liability to have those under 21 at this event, please do not bring under-age guests and be prepared to show ID at the door.

WHAT ELSE TO BRING - THE NOT-SO-WHITE ELEPHANT EXCHANGE

One man's junk can be another man's treasure! Or at least grounds for laughter. The CMG gift exchange has become a fun tradition of creative pleasure. And unlike the parties where you feel you have to drop another $25 for a random person, we set a $3 cap! Don't be spending any more than that! Better yet, get something off a shelf in your closet, garage, or pantry and gift-wrap it! Some gifts will actually be desirable and someone will win the bonus prize for having gotten stuck with the worst gift.
