Time: 4pm during the red carpet interviews so we're all settled in for the 5pm opening
Location: A lovely and spacious private home in Serra Mesa.

CMG-SanDiego Presents........

DESCRIPTION: It's the Oscars.  It's a potluck.  What more do you need to know?

WHAT TO BRING: Bring a potluck food or non-alcoholic beverage to share. Get out your old Betty Crocker cookbook, or get something interesting at your local deli. Let's aim for healthy stuff for the most part, and remember, a number of our guys are vegetarians or vegans. And most of us don't need a lot of chips or sweets, but since this is a party, a moderate amount of same will be welcome.CMG-SD will provide water and lemonade, as well as paper goods, plastic utensils, etc.

PARKING:  Street parking available. No meters. Even so, carpooling is encouraged, so we can feel less guilty about air pollution.

THERE'S A PRIZE?   The person who picks the most categories right (and really, there are so many that it's about even odds of winning if you haven't seen a single film!) will get a cash prize percentage to be announced in an upcoming note. The remainder will go toward helping CMG-SD offset expenses coming up during the year.  And we include enough impossible-to-guess categories that everyone's chances are about even whether you saw all the flims or none of them. 

MORE PRIZES?  We're also asking if people would like donate prizes so that we can sweeten the pot, adding second and maybe third place prizes.  Got a gift card you'll probably never use?  A really nice bottle of something that you're never going to drink?  A truly good gift but just not your cup of tea?  Let us know and we might take you up on it for this event or a future one.
